of Love & Peacock Feathers
July 4th weekend was no picnic, but it was fun. A big wedding up north at the beautiful Pen Ryn Mansion in Bensalem kept us busy in the shop with piles of green & blue flowers, not to mention a LOT of peacock feathers! Our bride loves peacock feathers and requested tall centerpieces inspired by the palette of greens and blues with touches of old gold. We used white & green hydrangeas, lady’s mantle, green spider mums, supergreen roses, blue delphinium, blue statice, gold craspedia, fiddlehead ferns, green hanging amaranthus, and of course plenty of peacock feathers. Try saying all that 10 times fast!
Centerpieces in progress, lovely in their own right.
In place on the tables at Pen Ryn.
Our bride created her own arrangements for the church ceremony out of tons (not literally) of feathers in a pair of beautiful antique gold urns. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a photo, so you’ll just have to close your eyes and imagine them.
Also unfortunate – I forgot to photograph the ladies’ bouquets.
Alexes, if you’re reading this and have any photos of your bouquet that you’d be willing to share with us, please email us!
Wishing you much love and happiness, Alexes & Doug!!
