grandmother’s brooch
Not my grandmother, but Ashley’s.
Ashley and Bob were married July 22nd at the Sheraton Great Valley. Bob has severe pollen allergies – get him within 100 yards of grass, and he’s done for the day. Maybe not that bad, but pretty bad. Pollen and scent allergies are never taken lightly around here, and we do everything to accommodate without sacrificing the couple’s vision. Remember, you don’t have to give up fresh flowers at your wedding because of allergies! While the couple compromised on the centerpieces by using deco beads and submersible led’s for a funky reception, I could tell that Ashley was longing to carry a bouquet of fresh-cut flowers. We designed a simple, but luscious bouquet of eggplant calla lilies for Ashley and bouquets of white calla lilies & lisianthus for her bridesmaids. Bob wore an eggplant calla with the stamen (pollen-producing part) removed just to be safe. My favorite was the brooch that we pinned on Ashley’s bouquet in remembrance of her grandmother.

I absolutely adored the choice of flowers for the bouquets and boutineres. The colors were beautiful.
