About
Peicha Chang : Owner
Welcome!
Located in the historic Philadelphia neighborhood of East Falls, come share our love and curiosity for nature and design.
Our Shop
Falls Flowers was founded in 2009. Our vision was to create a shop where we could share our love of flowers and design with family, friends and neighbors as well as support and enrich the greater community. Specializing in custom garden-style designs, our arrangements are natural and lush…with a touch of wild. Every bouquet focuses on the harmony between colors and textures, which allows you to indulge in the individual beauty of each flower.
Visitors to Falls Flowers are greeted with an ever-changing selection of seasonal flowers, indoor and outdoor plants, and carefully selected gifts – greeting cards, candles, soaps, chocolates and more, many of which are locally crafted.
Our Perspective
“With over seven years of experience in the floral industry, I still retain a fresh perspective on the business of flowers. Inspired by my mentor, owner of Bow Street Flowers in Somerville, MA (Boston), I learned the value of constantly educating myself and seeking inspiration in order to continually evolve and hone my craft. Over a five-year period at Bow Street Flowers, I transitioned from occasional volunteer to full-time designer, working on everything from elaborate weddings to surviving Valentine’s Day!
After relocating to East Falls with my husband in 2008, I pursued my dream of having my own shop and launched Falls Flowers in our first location on October 16, 2009. Visit me at the shop and you will sometimes catch me talking to my flowers. It can’t be helped! I’m passionate about what I do, and I love to share that passion with–and ignite that passion in–others.
What else can I tell you about myself? I love all things vintage or quirky. I could happily listen to 80’s rock or classical music all day. Cooking and baking are additional passions of mine – my mac n’ cheese and chocolate cake are the best in the world if I do say so myself. My husband also makes a killer apple pie! Our family includes two tortoiseshell cats, Mina and Georgie, and we will eventually finish renovating our house one day. Oh, and I love to ride my bicycle, Earl, and my motorcycle, Sofia! That should do it – I think you have a sense of who I am, and I hope you’ll stop by the shop and say hello soon!”
